Coretta Scott King was born in Marion, Alabama on April 27, 1927.a an American author and civil rights Activist. She also worked with her husband on the side.Coretta Scott king helped lead the African-American Civil Rights Movement in the year 1960. She had took a mager role after her husband was assassinated in 1968.She had to find a new leader for the civil rights movement But she was looking for the right person. Coretta Scott King was the one who was the Leader of the Civil Rights Movement. She was a very busy lady. Mrs. King continued to work hard until her death in 2006.

Coretta Scott King childhood was tough. She was the second child of three children.Ms.king had a sister named Edythe. Edythe was born in year 1925 Plus she had an younger brother named Obadiah Leonard He was born in 1930. Her Scott Family had own a farm which had been in the family since the American Civil War. The Scott's Family didn't have a lot of money definitely not wealth. During Ms.king Life the great depression she had picked cotton to make extra money. Coretta farther Obie was the first black person to own a truck in there neighborhood. Her life started to get rougher because her dad had own a Lumber Mill which had been burnt down by there white neighbors. She had to go to school she went to this one room elementary school 5 miles away from there home. Ms.kings Brothers and sister made it some where in there life. Her older sister had became the first to became the first African American to attend Antioch on a completely integrated basis that was a college school. She had gotten a scholarship. Later down the road Ms.king had transferred out of Antioch to New England Conservatory of music in Boston that’s where she had met Martin Luther King. People know her as a singer and a civil rights activist.

Coretta Scott King and Martin Luther King had got married on June 18, 1953 right on Ms.King Mothers Lawn. They had a ceremony and had Martin Luther King Farther performed something. Later on she had completed her degrees in voice and violin at the New England Conservatory. The she had decide to moved with her husband to Montgomery, Alabama in September 1954.They had 4 Children Named Yolanda, Bernice, Martin Luther King 3,and Dexter they all had become successful in Life. There farther left many things to his children. The children had followed there parents footsteps in the civil right activist. Later on in Ms.king life she started to work with her husband a lot more and start to be the head of things. Coretta Scott King started to take a huge role in the Civil right moment but Mr. King wanted her to just focus on razing there 4 children, But Coretta wanted to be into that business things. She had worked hard to pass the civil rights act in the year 1964.After her husband assassination she had focus on the Women’s rights, economic issues, world peace, ETC. So she was such a busy Lady. Later on after her husband death she began attending a commemorative service at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta to mark her husband’s death while she was celebrating the mark of her husband’s death it became a national holiday. She had written a book called my life with martin Luther King Jr... Later on in her Life she had passed away on January 30, 2006 she was only 78 years old.

She had rough times as being a adult and in her childhood Life she had to pick cotton just to earn extra money but know a days u don't have to pick cotton to earn extra money u can easily work over time at your job or have a side job where u make some chuck change.Ms.king and Mr.king did a wonderful job when they was adults and made changes about thing such about racism, Civil rights Moment, Women rights ETC. They did plenty of things to help the people out back then even today.I think people should be proud of Coretta Scott King and the Kings family because they all successful in life even if Ms.king didn't die she would still be a busy lady.
